Dr. Ernst is the Director of the Global Health Education Fellowship Program at UCSF Fresno. He is the Director of the annual “Induction Week” (orientation week) for the incoming interns of the IGSS Emergency Medicine Residency in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Dr. Ernst is also the Director of the Emergency Medicine at Cho Ray University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, an 18-month training program, including clinical and didactic instruction, culminating in examinations and a certificate awarded through a collaboration between the University of Utah, UC Davis, and UCSF Fresno.
